All of us will have our first shoes, saying goodbye to our favourite pair of shoes that served us so well, can be the hardest things to do,..some of the athletes are believing in their lucky shoes, some of them can't replace it because of some attachments, but it has only limited days to expire, it depends on the usage of the shoes.


"As a general rule of thumb, for most people shoes should be replaced every 8-12 months, or for running shoes every 500-700 km. Some shoes last longer and others wear out quicker."


How long will a shoe last?


According to the studies, regular using shoes will last for 8-12 months, It's similar like tires we used in cars, shoes also have the expire date.

For Runners - 500 to 700 KM
For Gym or exercise - 5 to 6 months
walking - 6 to 9 months


How do you know your shoes are too old?


  1. pay attention to the mileage, (if you covered 500 miles on racing flats its probable expired)
  2. The middle sole will be the first part to wear down.
  3. The middle sole will be crushed and compressed, it can't rebound back to the original shape.
  4. The outsole will be worn through the bottom of the shoe.
  5. You will feel discomforts it's mean that it's been long enough.
  6. Begin to feel aches or fatigue in the knees, feet and Achilles.
  7. blisters problems.

What can bad shoes cause?

 contribute to common sports injuries such as shin splints and Achilles tendon pain, corns and bunions, ingrown nails, or postural issues and lower back pain and Blisters will be found due to friction,  Excessive moisture due to sweaty feet or wet conditions can soften your skin, making it more susceptible to friction and blisters.

Look For the shoe that:

  • Have a stiff back. Grasp the heel in one hand and the shoe above the heel in the other hand. ...
  • Have a small amount of torque. Hold the shoe at both ends. ...
  • Bend where your toes bend.
  • Provide arch support. ...
  • Are wide enough and long enough at the toes. ...
  • Feel comfortable right away


Finally, always go for branded Good material while choosing, and note down the milage and expire date of the shoe.
